How long will it take for my website to be developed?
Development consists of 3 main phases.

1) Layout design and template programing, optional are Flash Development, Logo Design, Video Editing

2) Content Management System Installation and Configuration, Module Installation and configuration, Custom module development

3) Importing content and training how to use the CMS

Often these 3 phases can be revisited at anytime and often overlap. The time span of a website development project is often dependent on the client. If you have a deadline in mind we will strive to meet it for you. The most common delay in the creation and completion of a new website is waiting for content (text/images) to be sent to us by the client.

 

Will we need to have a meeting concerning with the website development?
While a meeting is not 100% necessary we prefer to get to know our clients and their needs and also involve them in the development process at each phase.

 

Once my website is developed – what after-sales service do you provide?
We offer full support for all websites we develop and are available should you encounter any problems or require any enhancements. We offer website maintenance so that your website need never get out of date.

 

Do I have to host my website with you, or can I move it to another host it if I choose to?
You may migrate your website to another web hosting service at any time. However there will be a fee associated if we are responsible for the migration. Once your website has been completed, we send you a copy of the website on CD.

 

Will my website be “Search Engine” friendly?
All our websites are created with search engines in mind for instance we use search engine friendly URLs where ever possible.. How ever search engine optimization is an ongoing process and your website should be re-evaluated because search engines alter their rules and algorithms so it is not a set and forget process.

 

Can you provide all our website development, hosting and internet marketing services?
Yes – we are your one stop company to provide all your web services.

 

What about uptime?
No web hosting service can guarantees 100% uptime. Should our servers have any problems we have the necessary backups in place to deal with this issue very speedily. The backups are performed nightly.

 

Do you utilize Flash animation in your website design?
Yes we can provide flash animations when it is requested. However there is ongoing debate about the future of flash because of emerging technologies like HTML 5 and Apples refusal to support it on the iPad and iPhone. Websites designed entirely in flash do are usually more expensive, more difficult to maintain and harder for search engines to index.

 

Can I see how many visitors I’ve had to my website?
Yes. We recommend that you setup Google Analytics and AWStats.

 

Can I have an e-commerce system for my website?
Yes you can. However we will not setup systems that store credit card information. Our preferred payment methods are PayPal and 2CO.

 

Can I get e-mail with my website?
Yes you can have email and you will probably wish you set-up several email addressed e.g. info@mydomain.com, sales@mydomain.com, my.name@mydomain.com

 

Can I update my website content myself?
Yes, virtualy all of the website we develop include a Content Management System. You just need to spend a few minutes learning how to update the content through the article and media managers. You can access your administration area from anywhere as long as you have a PC with an internet connection and make instantaneous updates at your leisure. However some advanced text formatting may require knowledge of HTML and should you not know how to do this we can do it for you at a reasonable rate.

 

Is there any training provided with the Content Management System – CMS?
The Content Management Systems are fairly straight forward and easy to use and do have explanatory notes included where necessary. We can run through the administration screens with you when we develop the site for you – however if at any time you have any questions we are available to run through the procedures or answer any questions you may have.

 

How much does a website cost?
The cost of a website is dependent on several factors all related to the amount of work involved.

Some factors might include: Does the client already have a logo? Is a template used or is there custom design? Is flash required? Is large amount of content? Does more than one person need to approve the project? A small website with just a few static pages would cost less than a full fledged e-commerce website with a large number of products.
